THE ART OF GIVING BIRTH

TRANSFORMING BIRTH

IN TIMES OF CHANGE, SHIFTING CONSCIOUSNESS, STEPPING OUT OF THE ACTUAL CRISIS, WE WANT TO FOCUS IN THE BIRTH!

GIVING BIRTH – TO A BABY, IS ONE OF THE MOST POWERFUL MOMENTS FOR A WOMAN.

ACTUAL BIRTH RATES ARE GROWING, DUE TO COVID19, THE SO CALLED "QUARANTAIN-BABIES" ARE COMING ON EARTH. IT IS THE TIME FOR THE NEW GENERATIONS TO SHOW US HOW TO RECONNECT WITH OUR INTUITION.

GIVING BIRTH IS NOT JUST A SOCIAL WISDOM, IT IS A HOLISTIC OPENING OF THE BODY, EMOTIONAL SYSTEM, AND GIVES EVERY CULTURE, SOCIAL COMMUNITY THE POWER TO CONTINUE LIFE.

TO GIVE BIRTH IS ESSENTIAL AS REMEMBERING BIRTH.SOMETIMES WE CREATE PATTERNS DUE TO OUR BIRTH EXPERIENCE.

THEREFORE IT IS SUCH IMPORTANT HOW WE PLAN THIS MOMENT/LIFETIME EVENT.

THE MORE A WOMAN RECONNECTS WITH HER FEMININE LINEAGE, HER BODY, HER BREATH, MOVEMENTS TO SUPPORT THE BIRTH, THE BETTER WILL BE THE MOMENT THE NEW LIFE BEING CAN

BIRTH KEEPERS are known as women, who are taking care of natural birth giving.
It is their higher purpose, to support other women in this special time.
It can be lot of power to give birth to a new life.
It is very important to have support in this emotional time.

As a women, you feel all the past life experience of your lineage, you get more aware of your bodies capacity.
It's every woman's human right to have a pleasurable birth, in the most natural way.
If we get supported by other women, midwifes techniques for relaxation, breathing, postures, motions and a checklist of commodities for the day of the birth, it is much more easy for a woman to give birth in their home.

Giving birth is not just a social wisdom, it is also depending on the culture.
For example in MAYAN history,  the use of TEMAZCAL steam bath rituals for the preparation of birth is very important.
The traditional belly massage is a tool, which is very important for post-birth-treatment.

Another traditional super-food, also known as "food of the gods" is Cacao.
Raw Cacao Seeds are used for special ceremonial offerings, also prepared as a drink, cooked with many spices is used to reduce pain during the birth.
Traditional Mayan Plant Medicine is still known by the Mayan midwifes.

As I am living in Guatemala since 7 month, I feel honored to share my experiences with Mayan Wisdom Keepers from this magical place, San Marcos la Laguna at Lake Atitlan.
As I spent my whole pregnancy here, I would love to share this perspective of natural birth by my own experience.
As anthropologist of ritual art, I am working on a documentary about "THE ART OF GIVING BIRTH" in Co-Creation with a friend, who is professional film producer.
I want to say already THANK YOU for supporting my project!!
